Geese on the River

This photo was taken this past weekend. We were traveling to a Celebration of Life service and were early. We stopped by the river on the way to waste some time, as we were early. Just as I was walking back to the car, I looked and saw the family (or small flock) of geese just swimming by, as a group. I grabbed my phone and took a photo - I only got one with the whole group and this was it.

Tuesday Free Choiice: I took this photo about 2 weeks ago. I like it but it wasn't the spectacular sunset shots I usually go for. However, it does have that farm-feel, or country-vibe going for it. I took it at our neighgbor's farm and it shows. The field, the hills, the trees - so many things that mean "home" to me.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
