Sunset Sky and the Barn

Photo of the Day 141/365

This photo was taken earlier in the year. As with some of my photos, some photos just seem to usurp others and they fall to the "ready to post" folder. This is one of those. We had been out for a drive and the sunset sky, while not magnificent, lent itself to reflecting in the clouds of the eastern skies. The orange/pink clouds and the barn just seemed to be made for each other.

Wednesday Design: This photo was taken on a business trip to California. My business associate and I were taken a day to travel around and ended up on the campus of a university there and as the sun was fading, I saw these fountains in front of a building.  I could not resist grabbing a shot as we drove past in the afternoon. I don't believe I've ever posted this before - it just never fit - now it does.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
