Sunset Sky and Standing Trees

It's been so rainy the past couple of days that I haven't been able to get out to take photos. I did get out to celebrate Fathers Day with my sone and his wife, but photography wasn't in the picture (haha). So, I pulled this photo from my archives, where it sat as a farily dully photo - so I did some editing to bring it to where I saw it and here it is for your enjoyment. Happy Fathers Day!

Sunday Monochrome: This photo was taken early this year while on a road trip with my wife. The sky was clearn and the puffy clouds moved gently across the sky. While in the car we stopped at a few places and I managed to get some photos using my go-to black and white iPhone app, Firstlight. The sun was too high (in my opinion) to get color to look brilliant - but I really think this came out well in black and white.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.
