Pretty Sky over the Salt Marsh

I took ths photo while we were in Maine a couple of weeks ago. I let it sit in my archive as it wasn't a sunset, and wasn't an ocean or coastal photo (which are my favorites) - but something in this one called to me. We were on a drive and I had asked my wife to pull over. The sun was at my back and I decide to photgraph the salt marsh and I think (now) it turned out to be a nice view of Maine's inland coastal waterway.

Friday People: This photo was taken a few years ago while on a trip to Maine with my family. My oldest is the subject of this photo. He has become a pretty good photographer. He's got his own DSLR (bought from me) and lenses and tries very hard, when he can, the use them and better his skills. This photo was taken about 15 years ago - and he has made me proud.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.
