Misty Morning at the Lake

I took this photo some time ago but it seems to fit my mood right now. Misty with a slight chance of a better day. The calm water of the lake, the mist rising in the moist morning air of early summer, and the darkness of morming - all seem to meet together to fit my mood. Things change all the time and you never know what the mists of time and life will give you - but enjoy what you have, when you have it.

Sunflowers and Barn Side

Thursday Colors: I like these sunflowers against the red of the barn wood. This was taken near our old home while out on an early summer walk. The evening sky lit up the sunflowers agains the barn. Now the barn is gray and and the sunflowers were cut down. I enjoyed these while they lasted and will continue to remember while trying to find more to see.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
