Sunset by the River

Last evening, my wife and I went with my daughter, to a pot luck at a local synagogue. We had a nice meal and met new people and generally, had a good time. On the way to leave, I noticed the sun getting ready to set. My wife drove and I snapped a few photos, but this one was from the driveway across to the river and I really like how it came out.

Saturday Nature: I took this photo earlier this week. We see all kinds of birds at our feeders - cardinals, wrens, robins, and an occasional woodpecker. These birds seem to be the most confident and I get to capture their expressions and movements more often. I liked how this one had gathered these seeds, brought them to the rail, put them down, and then examined them before eating them. She just seemed to be saying "are these for me?"
