Flaring Sunset Clouds throught the Trees

Photo of the Day 223/365

Just when I was leaving my son's home this past weekend, I noticed that I had missed the sunset, but I could still see lots of color in the sky. I took a brief walk to get out from under the local power lines. I did my best to zoom in and capture what remained of the sunset clouds and the looked like they were flaring up - almost like little flames coming from behind the trees.

Quote of the Day: "If it is not yours, don't take it. If it isn't right, don't do it. If it's not true, don't say it. If you don't know, shut up." - Japanese proverb

My Leica

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Monday Fill-the-Frame: This photo is an image of one of my favorite cameras.  Doesn't every photographer want a Leica?  It's the top tier of cameras and it was one of my dreams.  However, the brand is well out of my reach. This one has a story - I had a studio, did wedding and portraits and such - and one of my clients, years after his wedding - called me up and asked if I wanted his dad's old caameras. I, of course, said yes, but never expected to see this. I asked how much he wanted and he said notthing - it was give it to me, or throw them out and he decided that I could have them. A Leica for free - who could have known.
