Bands of Blue and Gold at Sunset
Photo of the Day 251/365
This photo was taken last week and I loved the view, the colors, and the foliage in the foreground - but - the camera, many times, cannot reproduce what my eye saw. So, after some real work editing, it finally looks like I saw it to be. The reds and gold against the blue of the sky and clouds and the barely lit foreground - all are now as I remember them. And all I had to do was walk across the street.

Monday Fill-the-Frame: This photo was taken a few years ago. I was waiting for my wife while she was getting some massage therapy. Just down the street was a very large cemetery with many grave sites and many monuments and memorials. I passed this one and I remember being in its shadow and looking up and seeing the sky. I snapped the photo and did a little editing and I like how the memorial fights with the sky for attention in the photo.
