Afternoon Light and Flowers in the Field

I went out last evening to try out my new camera. I wanted to give myself enough time to "play" and get a good walk in. The sky was crystal clear in the late afternoon, so while there would be a sunset, it would be mostly bland. I decided to try my luck with another subject and came across these flowers in a field, and I really liked how the image came out. I like the soft feel and the way the sunlight played in the field.

Sunday Monochrome: I took this photo about one week ago while riding in car with my wife. I took a number of photos, but I probably took two that I really liked.  This was my second favorite capture. I like how the farm sits, in its entirety, against the clear sky with just a few clouds.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
