Bright Line in the Sky After the Storm

Two nights ago, we had a thunderstorm complete with torrential rain and lightning. After getting home from class, I noticed the thin line of brightness in the sky. The time for sunset had passed, but the sky tried to show some small amount of the light of sunset after the storm.

Friday Nature: I took a long morning walk a week or so ago and came upon these old trees along the road I was walking on. I saw this particular tree that, for some reason, had grown such that it had a hole in it. The fine spring day view was visible through the tree and I liked the scene.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
