Road Reflections of a Sunset Sky

A couple of weeks ago, we had a very rainy day. I always hope for a sunset to try for sunset but the rainy day did not bode well. At the end of the day, I had the dog out for a run in our yard when I looked across the road and saw the sunset sky was there and the reflections on the wet road formed some very interesting lines.

Thursday Fill-the-Frame: A short time ago, I was out for a morning walk and came across this flower in the morning sunshine. I tried a number of angles to try to get a view of it. The time for these flowers was waning, and I only had this one left and the rest were wilting. I was able to get one that I liked.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
