Beautiful Spring Sunset

Photo of the Day 149/365

It has been a rough few days for our family, so I have had to reach into my back catalog for my photo of the day. This one was taken about two months ago while out on a sunset walk in my neighborhood. The clouds in this wider view were just spectacular and the colors were very vivid. With just a touch of editing, it matched my view I saw.

Friday Nature: I caught this little guy at our feeder and kept being patient (at that moment) to try to get a good pose or expression. I was rewarded with this view of the bird looking over the world. Usually I get them head down in the feeder or worse, I don't get a clear shot as they flit from place to place so quickly.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
