Ocean Sunset after a Rainy Day
Photo of the Day 159/365
Yesterday was a rainy day and cool for June. As most of you know, I love my sunsets, but this day did not seem to be the day. As we made it back to our cottage and had supper, it seemed less likely. Suddenly I spotted orange on the western horizon. I asked my wife if she saw it, and she said no. I went out to get one last look and saw it getting brighter. This photo was the result - very much worth the wait.

Marshes and Mountains on Acadia
Monday Free Choice: It was a very gray, rainy day on Mt. Desert Island. On our first day, we bot up, had breakfast and then went antique shopping. Despite the drizzle, I asked my wife to stop at a favorite spot. I got out and found a path which led to the water, and I got some new views. Even in the damp and gray, I found this nice shot of the salt marsh with the mountains in the background, with the clouds. Beauty is where you look for it.
