Goodbye to Maine for Now

Photo of the Day 165/365

Yesterday was the end of our Maine vacaation and now we're back home. The morning was very foggy (again), cool, and breezy. We rushed around and got packed up, cleaned up the cabin, did the dishes, took out the garbage, and ate breakfast. When we went to do the final packing of the car, I looked out over the view we had and had to take one last photo. It was 55 degrees when we left, and 87 degrees when we arrived home, 12 hours later...back to reality.

Birk in Black and White

Sunday Monochrome:  This photo was from our first day of vacation. We travelled up to Boothbay Harbor and went to the Botanical Gardens to see the Trolls. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, I set my (new) camera into monochrome mode, so many photos that I wanted in color, ended up in monochrome. This one, I think, came out well. This is the troll Birk, and he is BIG.  If he stood up with his outstretched legs, he'd have to be 30+ feet tall.
