Backroad to a Dark Sunset
Photo of the Day 173/365
On a road trip this weekend, we were trying to find locations for future sunsets and hoped to be able to catch a sunset. Unfortuantely, the rain clouds had other ideas. My wife decided to go down a road through a local game lands. As we topped a hill, I asked her to stop the car and back up just a bit. I found this view of this road going into the cloudy sunset. The clouds did give way later but I thought this looked dramatic.

Field Grass Down to the Cove
Monday Free-Choice: On our Maine vacation, I purchased a wooden box of slides. In going through these slides, I found that this gent had the same ideas and basic photographic view that I have. The images are all in New England and Eastern Canada. The images were also taken about 60-65 years ago. I will post some photos from this collection over time to honor his images. This one was of an unidentified cove and the field that led down to it.
