This photo was taken quite a few years ago while on a business trip to San Francisco. I was reviewing some of my old, old photos yesterday and saw this one. I decided to pull it out, do a little editing and post it. It was taken about 23 years ago, so it needed a little bit of work since the camera I used was about 23 years old. In any case, it seemed appropriate for US Independence Day!!

Saturday Color: This photo was taken a couple of days ago in our front yard. These flowers were planted in a large pot just outside our front door. I was sitting on the porch, waiting for our dog to get tired of running in the heat, and saw these flowers. The purple caught my eye in the sunlight, and I thought it made a nice color-centric photo.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
