Wild Sunset Sky

Photo of the Day 189/365

The weather has not been conducive to outdoor photography lately. The temperatures have given us heat that has been record-setting, with clear skies, or the weather has been cloudy and rainy. So, I decided to dig back a bit to find a photo with a great sky that I hadn't posted. This photo was a great sky, but at the time, I had a different one that I posted. I think it is a worthwhile photo to post.

Wednesday People: This is another photo from my archives going WAY back. The child in this photo is my oldest, who is not 33 years old. The person with him is my ex-brother-in-law. We were at the beach on vacation, and the surf was running high on the first afternoon. My son, always the brave one, even this young, wanted to go in, but was prevented from doing so.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
