Grand Drive to the Farm House

I went for long walk with my youngest yesterday - much longer than normal. She wanted to talk about things and I obliged. At the far end of our walk,  I saw this driveway entrance. I'd seen it before, but always while driving. As I was walking, I could see the farm house at the end of the drive and decided to see if I could capture it. This was the result.

Wednesday People: We went on vacation to Mt. Desert Island in Maine a couple of months ago. We visited a few public gardens on the island. This one is not the biggest and there have always been flowers blooming. I spied this couple and loved the posing of the couple. I could not hear what they were saying, but the husband definitely appears to be wanting something - I know I was ready to leave, so I thought maybe he, too, was ready to leave.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
