Sunset Glow and Streaky Clouds

Photo of the Day 218/365

Two evenings ago, I took a walk to catch the sunset. I did, indeed, catch a number of shots of the setting sun. However, when I was all done, I was in our yard, after the sunset, and noted the beautiful colors in the sky after the sunset. I think the photo represented those colors. I'll post photos of the sunset later.

Thursday Fill-the-Frame: I took this photo of a bluebird earlier in the year. I could have used this photo for colors or nature, but I decided that since I got this close shot, I'd use it for fill-the-frame. I like the photo so much because we haven't gotten very many bluebirds at our feeders this year.

Simple Spring Sunrise Sky Photo of thd Day 88/365 I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. Initially, I saw the bright reds at the horizon. However, when I got my car stopped in a safe spot and got out, I saw the "big picture" of the sky. The open sky, the few simple clouds, and the blue to red above, I had to take the larger shot. It was the start to a great (but VERY long) day.

Sunset View through the Window Photo of the Day 83/365 This photo was taken earler in the season. It was taken while waiting for some co-workers while on the campus of the university where I work. We were having dinner and were trying to wait their arrival but travel delays caused things to be late. I decided to look around and see what could be captured - this was the result.

Snow and Ice by the Lake Photo of the Day 51/365 This photo was taken at our local State Park (Gifford Pinchot) and it was a cold sunset sky. It had been cold enough for some time for the lake to freeze over. The snow had started to melt due to the sunshine and that eveing, the sunset was wonderful (but cold). That lade is and will be, one of my fave local spots.
