Summer Sunset Sinking Low
Photo of the Day 219/365
A few days ago, as is my normal habit, when there is a sunset, I do my best to get out for a walk and see what I can capture. I'm not sure why, but I've always loved sunsets and sunrises. Sunrises, now that I'm retired, are not such an attraction anymore, but sunsets still are. This one seemed particularly pretty. The clouds down near the horizon and being able to capture the sun just before it disappeared made for a nice shot.

Friday Nature: A couple of weeks ago, we were on a mini-vacation to New York. At the Eastman House mansion, we got to do a self-guided tour. Behind the main home was an expansive garden. At the far end of the garden was a planting of sunflowers. I'm not known as a gardener but I can appreciate the work and the beauty. There ere many sunflowers in this planting but this natural arrangement got my attention.
