Dusk Sky over the Inlet Photo of the Day 151/365 This photo was taken just after sunset as we reached the first leg of our destination for vacaton.  We had just eaten at the Maine Diner (a MUST eat at place in Maine) and my wife wanted to see the beach in Wells.  On the way to the beach (in the drizzling rain) - I looked back away and saw this view.  It was almost too good to be passed up so I didn't - and here is the view.

Sun Going Down after a Long Week Photo of the Day 150/365 This photo as actually taken about a year ago but it looked very much like the sky I saw tonight. Unfortunately, I could not get to a spot where I could capture the sunset tonight, so I chose a very similar sky to tonight's. It has been a very long week. We leave for vacation (when you read this) so I hope things lighten up and we can relax.

Afternoon Sky over the Pines Photo of the Day 149/365 I took this photo about six weeks ago and it was a case that the other photo I took that evening was better and I posted it and left this one to sit. Due to the rainy days lately, I went back through some recent photos and found this one. I like the afternon sidelight to the photo and the colors int he clouds. It was just before sunset so the colors were there and long shadows of the trees come together on this one.

Streaming Sunset Sky Photo of the Day 148/365 I took this photo near my old home (now soon to be my son's home) when we stopped over last weekend. The sky had opened up just as the horizon and I wanted to get a sense of the sweeping clouds.  I wanted to get a wide shot to try to capture the almost-hole that seemed to open up almost overhead. In all, it was a beautiful sky and a neat cloud formation.

Sunset Light over the Field Grass Photo of the Day 147/365 This photo was taken yesterday afternoon near our neighboar's farm. I saw that the time was about right to try to see what I could find for some sunset photos The sun was very bright and there were not interesting clouds near the sun, so I decided to try looking at the area surrounding the sunset and this view struck me as very pretty, so I grabbed a photo. I loke the little bit of blue sky along with the golden sunlight on the grass.

End of the Day at the Old House Photo of the Day 146/365 This photo was taken last evening.  We had gone over to our old house to see our son and daughter-in-law to have a quiet Memorial Day cookout, play some games, and have a time around a fire. We had finished games and dinner, and were getting a fire going when I noticed that the sky had cleared near the horizon. I tooka quick dash into the backyard and found this view - it was a great evening.

Sunset Sky over the Fields Photo of the Day 145/365 I went out to get some adult beverages at our local store. I noted that the sky was VERY pretty and nearing sunset but at that point where the sun was too bright. On the way home, I stopped and the sun was still not in the right place until I parked my car in the driveway.  Then I had to run to the neighbor's farm and try to capture what I saw. This photo is the result - try and try again - until you get it. The photo below was also taken yesterday, at almost the same spot - but MUCH earler in the afternoon.
